The 787 Supply Chain Fulfillment team is looking for a Business Process Analyst to join the team in North Charleston, SC to support integration activities associated with oversight of a third party logistics (3PL) provider responsible for tool services warehousing, non-flyaway consumables, powerfeed drill motor setup, and other Fulfillment activities.

Additional responsibilities include acting as the Fulfillment Business Processes focal and leading process improvement projects related to consumables and hand tools.

Our organization supports 787 production at the Boeing South Carolina (BSC) site, including Mid-body assembly, Aft Body Fabrication & Assembly, and Final Assembly & Delivery. Our team supports 787 Manufacturing by managing products, tools, hazmat, and consumables from on dock through last stage kitting to point of use.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees day-to-day performance of 3PL provider utilizing key performance indicators.

  • Represents Fulfillment organization and 3PL to Boeing business partners including Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering. This includes coordination of adjustments of 3PL statement of work within contract scope.

  • Develops data and conducts business case analysis of changes to the 3PL contract scope. This includes analysis of risks, issues, & opportunities, net present value, return on investment, affordability and resource requirements.

  • Leads cross-functional teams in process improvement projects and root cause/corrective action investigations utilizing the Boeing Problem Solving Model.

  • Demonstrates familiarity and use of Project Management and/or Program Management Best Practices tools necessary to lead improvement projects.

  • Leads specific Fulfillment programs, projects and implementation activities.

  • Supports strategic planning efforts by researching established procedures and guidelines. Learns to apply and integrate current strategic initiatives into process improvement activities.

  • Assists with coordination of reviews, assessments, and audits of business process documentation, as required. May develop or assist with developing process standards, guidelines, methods and tools.

  • Represents BSC Fulfillment team in efforts to eliminate, consolidate and/or simplify process documents.

  • Assists in the preparation of meeting materials and recording, and communicating the results.

  • Works under general direction.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience working in a production support or a manufacturing environment.

  • 3+ years of experience working in Materials Management

  • 3+ years of experience managing supplier relationships

  • 3+ years of experience in project management

  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience collecting, assessing, organizing information; summarizing findings and develop conclusions and recommendations

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Strong coordination and collaboration skills

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
