Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Space and Launch (S&L) Division is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Analyst in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the cybersecurity implementation on the Space Base Space Surveillance (SBSS) and Red LAN program. The Red LAN program supports the United States Space Force Space Surveillance Network (SSN) providing Space Domain Awareness data which is critical to the execution of US space operations.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide cybersecurity support for high performance computing systems, specifically in the areas of Information Systems Security Engineering (ISSE), Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), and Risk Management Framework (RMF). 
  • Evaluate and apply government cybersecurity policies and instructions having to do with the Department of Defense (DoD), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), and National Security Agency (NSA).
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of cybersecurity controls for assigned systems to meet enterprise requirements, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Perform security analysis of operational and development environments, threats, vulnerabilities, and internal interfaces to define and assess compliance with accepted industry and government standards.
  • Lead and implement the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes under the Risk Managed Framework (RMF) for new and existing information systems. 
  • Lead staff with assessments and test/analysis data to document state of compliance with security requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and deployment of cybersecurity controls for assigned systems to meet enterprise requirements, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Prepare, review, and present Cybersecurity technical reports and briefings.
  • Identify and contribute to the identification of root causes, prioritize threats, and recommend or implement corrective action.

This position is expected to be onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Work Authorization:

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in vulnerability management operations in scanning, report creation, and custom scripts.
  • 2+ years of experience in Information System Security Engineering OR 2+ years of experience as an Information System Security Officer

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, science or related technical discipline is strongly preferred
  • Hands on experience with security monitoring tools such as McAfee ePO, ACAS, Splunk, etc.
  • DoD 8570.01-m IAM or IAT Level II Certification

Typical Education & Experience:


Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Colorado summary pay range: Min: $91,350 – Max: $169,650
