Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) is looking for highly experienced IT Business Partner for BDS Maritime Undersea programs. This position will be functionally responsible for the entire IT&DA organization as well as integrating all IT&DA disciplines, products and services to enable program success.

Maritime Undersea consists of platform programs, integrated Missions and Mission Operation, and proprietary programs. Programs includes Boeing's family of extra-large unmanned undersea vehicles (XLUUVs), which offer industry-leading autonomy, range, reliability, endurance and payload capabilities to support missions spanning the U.S. Navy other U.S. government agencies and the oil and gas markets. This position is set to join the leadership team located in Herndon, VA and provides some telecommuting options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the IT&DA advisor to the program with a proactive approach to addressing program needs.
  • Providing the IT&DA strategic interface and promoting the understanding of program priorities and milestones to ensure adequate IT&DA support across program lifecycles and the value stream.
  • Serving as the voice of the program to IT&DA and accountability for technology delivery.
  • Defining strategies for new services to support program needs, document requirements, lead in the development of business cases requiring IT-based solutions and track ROI initiatives (cost, benefits, risk).
  • Identify risk and impacts and coordinate with program leadership and IT&DA stakeholders.
  • Lead program Digital Enterprise transformation.
  • Advocating and leading IT&DA strategies and initiatives.
  • Proactive engaging in the promotion of technology, innovation, simplification and best practice sharing to create value while leveraging the breadth of IT&DA capabilities and service offerings.
  • Engaging across the disciplines to manage the IT&DA affordability and to ensure performance to the Long-Range Business Plan (LRBP).
  • Establishing a strategic industry and maintaining a forward-looking view that aligns with the program evolving requirements and Autonomous industry trajectory.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in executing integrated technology development strategies, plans, goals and objectives
  • Experience in leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with speed and agility to drive innovation and results
  • Willing to travel up to 10% as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with IT solutions and capabilities in proprietary programs
  • Demonstrated strong program execution and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge with IT disciplines across technologies (Infrastructure, application, architecture, security and system integration)
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of leadership and customers

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +7 years' related work experience, 12 years' related work experience, etc.).
