The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Environmental Engineer/Scientist to join our Global Environmental Compliance and Permitting team located in Mesa, AZ.

The selected candidate’s primary responsibility will be to support implementation of the environmental compliance program for the site. The candidate will support permit compliance, company commitments to reduce energy, hazardous waste and water use, and other critical environmental related activity to protect the environment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Supports the development, implementation and monitoring of environmental management systems, processes and programs

• Works with others to assess the impact of emerging environmental issues, legislation and regulations on company operations

• Supports site collaborate with relevant regulatory agencies

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree

• 1+ years of experience performing environmental compliance duties related to Air Pollution Control, Hazardous Waste Management, and/or Industrial Wastewater Management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience with air pollution control regulatory compliance

• Experience with hazardous waste program management

• Experience developing, implementing and monitoring environmental management systems, processes and programs

• Degree in Environmental Engineering or related environmental field

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.                                                                

Relocation:
