Boeing Defense/Space/Security Vertical Lift is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer in Mesa, AZ. Join us and you will have the unique opportunity to provide hands-on Production Engineering support to Boeing Mesa Vertical Lift Programs such as the Apache AH-64 and AH-6 Little Bird helicopter platforms in addition to the Electrical, Composites, and Metallics Fabrication Centers of Excellence (CoE).  You will be working with a highly skilled team of Manufacturing Engineering, Product Review Engineering, Tool Engineering, and Industrial Engineering personnel to develop real time solutions and innovations to complex manufacturing issues.    

Position Responsibilities:                                                   

• Provide Manufacturing Engineering (ME) support to the statement of work performed at the Mesa Site
• Lead and provide technical guidance to early career Manufacturing Engineers responsible for producibility, line side support, shop floor work instructions, and bills of material.
• Lead cross functional teams to develop technical solutions & processes improvements in coordination with Operations, Liaison & Tool Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supplier Management, and Program Management
• Hiring for multiple positions to support Apache assembly, electrical, composite and metal fabrication shops.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Export Control:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline - engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
• 3 or more years of experience with supporting production programs or working in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 or more years of experience leading teams or projects.
• 3 or more years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience in support of commercial and military customers.
• Production process knowledge of wire harness & panel fabrication or installation
• Experience in ME and processes across multiple engineering disciplines

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
