The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is seeking a Mission Processor Integration Engineer (Level 2), in St. Louis, MO, on a Phantom Works Fixed Wing program. You will be responsible for developing and integrating an open Mission Systems Processor, which will include both enhancing existing architectures with the addition of new capabilities as well as architecting completely new systems. The Mission Processor is envisioned to be a high-performance computing application that adheres to an open systems architecture.

It will be integrated into a Mission Systems architecture that incorporates technologies, functions, interfaces, and subsystems which support Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) processing, High Assurance Processing (HACE), Multi-Level Security (MLS) Switching, and Cross Domain Processing. In this role you will be joining a cross-functional team to progress our products through the development lifecycle. The day-to-day activities of this position will be a combination of traditional design engineering, collaborating with cross-functional peers, presenting technical challenges and solutions to leadership. Frequent interaction with program leadership, customers and industry partners during critical design phases will be key elements of this position.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). 

 Basic Qualifications:

Currently possess a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ?

Preferred Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical, electronic or computer engineering.

  • Experience in avionics integration and/or electronics systems.

  • Experience working in Cameo, or similar Model Based Systems Engineering tools.

  • Experience with integration of Department of Defense (DoD) tactical platforms subsystems.

  • Experience developing requirements and applicable traceability.

  • Experience with commercial standard for 3U/6U form factor processors.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
