Boeing Global Services is currently seeking a Mid-Level Design and Analysis Engineer to become part of the Avionics and Electrical Ground Support Systems Team in Berkeley, Missouri.

The Avionics and Electrical Ground Support Systems team supports F-15, T-7, B-52 and other Air Force based platforms.  This systems position requires skills and experience to manage design requirements, supplier requirements, procurement, manufacturing, integration, and test of all electrical Ground Support Equipment in support of Electronic Warfare and Radio Frequency Systems.

The selected candidate will work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements. This position will analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.  Candidate will test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.  May also monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements. The successful candidate will solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.  The applicant will also research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Development and documentation of electrical subsystems and packaging of electronics.
  • Assist with monitoring supplier and manufacturing performance.
  • Support system integration and requirement verification.
  • Performing system qualification tests to verify operational and functional requirements.
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work under general direction and in collaboration with other engineers, designers and support staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in electrical systems design and analysis.
  • Experience working with Test Readiness Reviews, Design Reviews and/or Technical Working Groups.
  • Experience with avionics test and/or integration.
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare or Radio Frequency systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience working with suppliers.
  • Experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions.
  • Experience with aircraft integration and test.
  • Experience leading a small group of electrical engineers.
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare systems and signal processing.

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Hybrid/Telecommute:

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will also be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. (USA - Berkeley, MO)
