Help us usher in a new era of "Digital Inside" for BGS Engineering! In this role you will have the opportunity to leave your mark on the future of several aspects of digital, ranging from infrastructure to dashboard visualization. You will work with a team of analysts/developers both within the Core Engineering team and in our capability partner teams to drive progress on digital/business intelligence projects with high visibility to our Engineering LT.

                                                              

This is a hybrid position that allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the business intelligence needs of BGS Engineering by partnering with business unit teams to understand their operational needs, recommend solutions, assure compliance with standards and develop processes and tools that help automate effective data delivery and reduce resource utilization and redundancy.
  • Collects, analyzes, documents, and integrates requirements from various sources and across multiple process owners
  • Utilizes technological tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize and interpret data
  • Understands, applies and develops process standards, guidelines and tools
  • Explains analytics model behavior/results in the vernacular of business
  • Design and develop business performance measures and predictive analytics tools that drive insight
  • Builds multi-layered, scalable dashboards which allow for a summary and detailed data views
  • Be a self-starter who is not afraid to pro-actively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently with a positive attitude and highest ethics.
  • Advocate data visualization best practices within the organization

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Visualization Tool Experience:
    • Experience creating, analyzing, and reporting status through various visualization applications
  • Data Synthesis Experience:
    • Experience with writing automation test scripts, setup/maintain test environments, and perform automated testing.
    • Experience extracting metadata from multiple systems and aggregating the data with demonstrated qualitative/quantitative analysis skills
    • Experience querying relational databases
  • Process Experience:
    • Understanding of One Boeing Production System
    • Experience managing multiple projects and communication from diverse cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs
    • Experience on documenting and clarifying dashboard requirements with stakeholders, and driving changes to core dashboards and solutions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with Azure DevOps
  • Experience using R, Python, C#, C++ or JavaScript
  • Advanced Excel (VBA)
  • Tableau, Cognos, and/or PowerBI experience
  • Experience working with the Agile work process
  • Project Management experience or certification(s)
  • Experience working with senior leaders/executives

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)
