Position Overview:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking Manufacturing Manager to join the team located at the Huntsville, AL.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position is for variable shift

A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • 5+ years experience leading  projects and/or teams
  • 5+ years experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years experience using Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools
  • 5+ years experience developing and executing strategies to meet organization objectives
  • 5+ years experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements
  • 5+ years experience in developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military
  • Experience managing a Collective Bargaining Unit (CBU) / hourly union-represented workforce.
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
