Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Experienced Marketing Specialist – Conferences and Exhibits (level 4).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and assembles documentation of data to support management reviews for conferences and exhibits and marketing materials.
  • Conduct negotiates with conference organizations to help secure the best alternatives for Boeing presence and visibility.
  • Obtains commitment and approval from internal stakeholders to support changes during the negotiation process.
  • Utilizes detailed understanding of both customer and Boeing needs and resources to recommend areas of alignment and integration.
  • Supports assigned sales and campaign activities by contributing to the development of marketing materials and exposure for Boeing programs.
  • Maintains and reports metrics related to events, conference and outreach activities.
  • Leverages company resources to support customer commitments, gain a competitive advantage, and foster business growth by developing a detailed understanding of specific Boeing products and services, process and operations, and resources.
  • Supports the integration of business strategies and solutions into publicly disseminated materials and event exposure.
  • Researches, reviews and analyzes information about competitors' products and services to develop a detailed understanding of specific competitor activities and their impact on market positioning to improve our competitive position.
  • Work with customer representatives to support and exceed their expectations for business needs, culture, requirements
  • Networks with both internal and external resources, when applicable.
  • Assists in the interface with the customer and internal Boeing resources to keep both apprised of key issues and concerns.
  • Participates in customer meetings with limited scope and responsibility.
  • Evaluates alternatives and makes recommendations to the internal team leader and management.
  • Formulates requirements for both Boeing and Industry products and knowledge into recommendations to meet customer marketing and exposure needs.
  • Assists in the preparation of management review materials.
  • Assists in the maintenance and advancement of customer relationships by supporting customer meetings and preparation of presentation materials.
  • Supports preparation of proposals for events, conferences and support materials.
  • Reviews and contributes to the final draft materials.
  • Assists in the development of strategy and tactics using in-depth knowledge of customer needs, Boeing products and services and competitive environment.
  • Gathers and analyzes relevant information (e.g., political environment and competitive assessment) from internal and external sources to support strategy development and alignment across the Boeing enterprise.
  • Responsible for planning, tracking and timely payment of memberships and sponsorships within Boeing corporate systems.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Able to travel up to 25% of the time both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Good interpersonal, leadership, and management skills as well as relentless customer focus are critical
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience do you have working across organizations and cross-functional groups to ensure project coordination, implementation and completion
  • Experience managing exhibits, trade shows and events
  • Effective time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. 

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
