The Autonomous Aviation & Technology (AA&T) Systems Engineering & Integration Team is seeking a Senior Configuration and Data Management Engineer to support program configuration management activities in St. Louis, MO. The MQ-28 is a dynamic program with exciting new development work to support the global marketplace.

  The successful candidate will be responsible for the processing of change control documents such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Change Requests (CRs) to support the evolution of the MQ-28. The successful candidate will also facilitate program Change Control Boards (CCB) chaired by the program Chief Engineer and support oversight of CM requirements to suppliers.

This position affords the candidate opportunities to interact with program management, the customer, our international partners and coordinate with organizations and teams across the program, learn about the product and its requirements across the product lifecycle, and integrate the many elements needed to document and execute major changes on an aircraft platform.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic guidance and expertise for the development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of highly integrated complex products

  • Strategically leads the definition and application of new methods and technologies for product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products

  • Leads the analysis of highly complex product trades and/or changes

  • Represents the Company in the development of industry, national and international Configuration and Data Management standards

  • Strategically integrates the definition and allocation of Configuration Management and Data Management requirements

  • Provides strategic direction in the development of new and innovative methodologies for interface management of complex products

  • Leads and directs the development, integration and implementation of engineering technical program plans

  • Works under consultative direction

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Active U.S. Security Clearance at Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university

  • 10+ years' experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Configuration Management systems, Change Management, and PLM Processes and Tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance

  • 5+ years' experience using CATIA V5 and ENOVIA

  • 5+ years' experience with CM Pro 

  • 5+ years' experience with Internal/External Team Coordination

  • 5+ years' experience administering software configuration management tools such as ClearCase, ClearQuest, Version1, Confluence

Typical Education & Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
