The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Airplane Level Engineering Integration (ALEI) organization has an exciting opportunity for a proactive Mid Level Engineering Technical Specialist - Product  Definition Systems/Tools to join the team in Everett, WA.

The ALEI team is looking for a highly motivated individual that will help drive the overall ALEI strategy for the enterprise; lead the team in evaluating new technologies; prototype solutions for cross-bedrock engineering integrations; and identify/prioritize projects for implementation, as related to 2nd Century Enterprise Systems (2CES). (Define and develop future state processes and tools focusing on 3DX and BCA Product Development)

The candidate must have experience working in cross functional domains and integrating new tools, processes, and technologies.  Project management experience is necessary, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. 

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute communications plan utilizing various media such as email newsletters, websites, presentations, and specialized training tools

  • Support end-end validation & testing strategy

  • Support baseline testing data

  • Perform Support regression & Integrated Functional Testing (IFT)

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Support Bug resolution, validation

  • Support technical Risk closure, mitigation

  • Support Gap (Issue) closure, validation

  • Support requirements traceability, verification

  • Develop, manage Command Media (D6, BPGs, UGs)

  • Support training integration, content readiness, deployment

  • Support Early Adopter program integration

  • Actively support operational excellence, team collaboration, continuous improvement

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience with processes analysis, processes development, and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, accuracy with work, strong organizational skills

  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with a customer service focus and mindset

  • Demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of urgency for completing assigned work with minimal supervision and history of meeting commitments

  • Agile knowledge is highly desirable

  • Experience with Engineering life cycle activities, tools and processes

  • Experience in CATIA, ENOVIA, PDM

  • Strong Project Management Skills

Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
