The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Program Protection Lead to join the team in Tukwila, WA.

The person in this role will develop, implement, and administer a Program Protection (P2) System Security Engineering (SSE) program for a large, highly-complex group of programs located in the Puget Sound, including plans and Concept of Operations (CONOPS). Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all government and company regulations/requirements

  • Work / Lead a Program Protection program to protect US Government Critical Program Information (CPI), intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures

  • Develops the strategy for program and mission protection and continuously monitors and modifies the program to address a changing external environment

  • Integrate with design engineers, analysts, suppliers, and operations teams to develop and execute program protection

  • Identifies Program Protection deficiencies. Develops and implements corrective action

  • Provides innovation and creativity into the counter-intelligence program, security awareness training and education program (briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information

  • Initiates and completes Program Protection tasks toward long-range goals and objectives

  • Creatively defines solutions for protecting critical program information that ensures realistic working effort by program personnel

  • Oversees Sub-Contractor P2 Management (e.g., providing P2 oversight and direction with site visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with all government regulations/requirements

  • Collaborates with program and government customers to ensure all P2 initiatives are effectively implemented

  • Reviews documents, drawings, and procedures for P2 policy compliance

  • Present briefings and training to Boeing and other team members

  • Understanding of Critical Program Information (CPI), Threats, and Vulnerabilities

  • Responsible for Program Protection plans that are approved by Customer security that spell out the approach to protect CPI and classified information throughout the execution of a program

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Industry experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Top Secret/SCI highly desired

  • Program Protection Experience

  • Experience working on highly complex engineered systems

  • Experience developing, maintaining, and executing program documentation

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
