The Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics organization is seeking an Experienced Developer (DevSecOps) Specialist.

In this role, you will be working on the Enterprise DevSecOps project where we partner with our Software Engineering team to deploy a Software Development Toolchain in the AWS Gov Cloud.  We seek talented individuals to assist in the design and implementation of our cloud solution, developing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows for system build, test and deploy.  We are a fast-paced agile team and are interested in candidates who have proven skills in DevSecOps, Cloud environments, software development and system automation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs analysis and design activities to install, configure and maintain infrastructure, software and components in AWS Cloud

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Implement Configuration as Code (CaC)

  • Performs activities to ensure alignment of use cases and objectives with architecture and security

  • Executes against defined guidelines and best practices for cloud-oriented development & implementations

  • Provides guidance and direction to junior level cloud developers and administrators

  • Troubleshoots application deployment issues

  • Researches and analyzes issues (such as application integration, performance etc.) and provides recommendations and resolution as needed 

This position allows telecommuting. The sleeted candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Experience with AWS Cloud

  • Experience utilizing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)

  • Ability to obtain Secret level Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 plus years’ experience with automation and provisioning of cloud environments

  • 1 plus years’ experience with Containers

  • 2 plus years' hands on experience using Terraform

  • 2 plus years' hand on experience using Ansible for Configuration as Code

  • AWS Certification (Certified Developer Associate, Solutions Architect Associate, Cloud Practitioner)

  • Experience in deploying, administering, maintaining and upgrading one or more of these applications: Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or JFrog Artifactory

  • Experience with the Linux OS

  • Hands on experience in AWS services e.g. VPC, IAM, EC2, Auto-scaling, ELB, ECR, S3, DynamoDB, Postgres (RDS), Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, VPC, Route 53, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, AWS Config, Cloudtrail, AWS Developer Tools etc.

  • Experience implementing AWS solutions design and deployment of enterprise-scale applications

  • Experience developing guidelines and best practices for cloud-oriented development & implementations including containers and container orchestration

  • Define and enforce AWS Well-Architected pillars: operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, and cost optimization

  • Provide expertise and best practices for implementing cloud security and product security

Typical Education/Experience:  Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
