The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Test Engineer - Constraint Management to join our team. This role will lead a team integrating cross-program demand to provide Special Test Equipment in support of all space systems verification and test activities in El Segundo, California.

This position is primarily 1st shift; however, periodic shift change may be required to support program objectives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development of test resource plans and project management documentation to execute test resource upgrades and validation

  • Develops data processing tools and algorithms for management of test resources

  • Guides others in the assignment of test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements

  • Plans and coordinates functions as required to ensure system readiness and data integrity

  • Ensure adherence to BT&E ELS resource management capacity and pipeline to manage all test resources

  • Identify and assess schedule risks and opportunities to improve readiness and first pass quality, critical path execution, cycle times, and cost

  • Facilitate BT&E ELS resource conflict resolution, integrate BT&E and program schedule with enterprise pipeline, and identify and resolve conflicts/constraints

  • Manage the Test Integration process to drive resource portfolio management, identify and assess schedule risks and opportunities, and facilitate resource conflict resolution

  • Facilitate resource de-conflicting with the assistance of the Integrated Scheduling team to resolve both current and future asset usage

  • Participate in regular Business Partner meetings to gather and present information to use in developing integrated Resource usage schedules

  • Coordinate asset utilization and work with management and PM’s in resource assignments and critical resource issues

  • The primary contact/focal to reserve critical assets and resources, and to communicate BT&E plans to customers

  • Ensure superior quality delivery of BT&E ELS product, service, and hardware, applies lessons learned to the improvement of test planning

  • Trains others

  • Works under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance/Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 3+ years of experience creating and documenting test plans/procedures, executing tests, analyzing results, and/or creating test reports

  • Experience with Project Management including Earned Value Management and schedule performance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • An active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

  • Experience with Special Test Equipment (STE)

  • 3+ years of experience SCDs, ICDs, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, or Boeing design documents

  • 3+ years of experience in the use of electrical test equipment such as digital multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, vector network Analyzer and oscilloscope

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
