Senior Financial Analyst, The Boeing Company, Seattle, WA:

Initiate assignments and lead integration and analysis of resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools; Financial EACs for contracts or programs. Develop performance reports. Initiate assignments and lead integration of variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management. Make recommendations to senior management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience. Develop, review, analyze and maintain cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends. Lead development of business cases using appropriate indices. Provide subject matter expertise to troubleshoot process and tool issues, determine root cause and recommend solutions. Develop and use collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Build rapport and trust among stakeholders and leverage the organization's dynamics to promote program goals by focusing on a shared vision. Ability to manage hardware/material forecast across multiple programs and suppliers with complex contracting and negotiations; demonstrate capability to analyze grassroots part level forecast compared to actuals and provide detailed variance and balance to go analysis; Aptitude for developing time-phased expenditure forecasts, combining understanding of supplier shipping schedule, work in process inventory flow, financial systems, inventory management and procurement systems; Understand monthly and quarterly forecast changes and is able to communicate to leadership, including changes in opportunity and risk profile relative to supplier negotiation status; Proficient in variance to plan metrics to help leadership understand performance drivers and opportunities in future to achieve plan; Ability to team with procurement finance analysts (PFA) to understand basis of estimate, demand requirements, and pricing to ensure accurate estimate at completion (EAC); Ability to support controls, compliance and actions related to SOx (Sarbanes Oxley), Deloitte (D&T) and Enterprise Audits requirements.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Project Accounting, or related field and 10 years of work experience in financial planning and analysis. Alternatively, Employer will accept a Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Project Accounting, or related field and 8 years of work experience in financial planning and analysis.
 
In addition, must have 5 years of experience with each of the following:

  • Working with Earn Value Management (EVM);

  • Supporting international contracts;

  • Summarizing and presenting to all levels of the organization, including senior management;

  • Working with the financial EAC process, LRBP & forecast process, budget baseline process, control account EAC process, and Cost Schedule Planning & Reporting (CSPR);

  • Financial planning process and tools; and,

  • Cognos, cobra, EAC and other accounting systems containing historical cost data actuals.
