The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Advanced Ground System (AGS) Software Engineering team is seeking an Experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to support Battle Management, Command, Control and Communications (BMC3) programs in Colorado Springs, CO. 

The Full Stack Software Engineer will perform as part of an impactful team and have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of innovative technology in an agile environment.  As a member of the AGS Software Engineering team, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from design and development, through to maintenance and support of the customer’s BMC3 system.  This opportunity offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity to learn from others and be a mentor to junior software engineers.

  • Developing software requirements

  • Understanding design implementation

  • Writing code to support satellite operations

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree

  • 5+ years of experience working as a full stack software engineer

  • Proficient coding in C++ or C#

  • 5+ years’ experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test

  • 5+ years’ experience working in an Agile Environment applying Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

  • Experience coding in C++ and writing unit tests in a Linux environment

  • Experience integrating third-party libraries and software using established APIs

  • Experience with spacecraft simulation, modeling, and optimization algorithm design and implementation

  • Experience with PostgreSQL or other database packages, managing satellite command and telemetry packages

  • Agile Certifications (SAFe, CSM, etc.)

  • Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps utilizing CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience working within integrated development environments

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Colorado Summary pay range: Min: 96,000 – Max: 120,000
