The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking Lead, Structural Analysts to join the Structures Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A successful member of this team will understand and execute structural modifications and upgrades for Executive Transport Programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Structural analysis tasks include, but are not limited to: static strength, damage tolerance and durability

  • Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design

  • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product’s environment

  • Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance

  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied

  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements

  • Support internal/external design reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), preliminary/critical design reviews (PDR / CDR) with U.S. Air Force Customers

  • Lead a team of stress analysts and provide coaching across all levels

  • Develop tasks scheduling, manage and report products progress and release schedules

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 9+ years of experience working with aircraft stress analysis/structural analysis

  • 5+ years of experience with Static Analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance

  • 5+ years of experience with on Boeing Commercial Derivatives – Commercial and/or Military applications (737, 747, 757 & 777)

  • 5+ years of experience with structural design principles for repair and airframe modifications (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques)

  • 5+ years of experience leading teams/projects

  • 5+ years of experience Certification/Verification Engineer

  • 5+ years of experience with Boeing Commercial Derivatives methods: Books 1 – 4, FAA certification, Part 25 (25.571), Part 26, Alternative methods of compliance (AMOCs), Service Bulletins (SB/Ads)

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
