The P-8 Poseidon program is seeking Modification Mechanics to support Installation and Checkout at our Tukwila, WA facility. Our program provides the world’s most advanced Anti-submarine Warfare platform in the world to the US Navy as well as international customers.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Perform modification of commercial derivative aircraft
• Perform installation of components and equipment onto the aircraft
• Perform rework of assembled components

This position requires the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): 

• This is considered a skilled position and requires previous experience as a modification mechanic
• Previous aircraft modification, manufacturing or maintenance or similar field experience required

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience): 

• 5 or more years of aircraft manufacturing, modification or maintenance preferred.
• Experience performing heavy structure work preferred

Typical Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Additional Information:

This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.

This position is for 2nd shift.
