Boeing is seeking Aviation Maintenance Technician and Inspectors for a temporary assignment in Victorville, CA.  Training for this assignment will be held in Everett, WA.

In this role you will perform production installations, maintenance, preventative maintenance, alterations and quality assurance on aircraft structure, systems and sub-systems, including electrical and avionics on standard or experimental certificated aircraft.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight.
  • Perform Quality functions such as Customer/FAA Coordination, Configuration Change Verification, Conformity Inspections, Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights), Corrective Action and Investigations.
  • Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform Aviation Maintenance Technician Inspector tasks in order to obtain and maintain knowledge, skills and required certifications.

  • Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2 or more years of aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background.
  • This position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations.
  • Must be able to work any shift, overtime and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.
  • Prefer a minimum of five years of aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background.

This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement.

Special Notification:

This position will be a temporary assignment based in Victorville, CA; estimation will be 6-12 months DTA (Domestic Temporary Assignment)

  • Domestic Temporary Assignment (DTA) includes:
    • Enroute Travel (mileage); or (flight)
    • Household Goods Shipment
    • Lodging Per Diem
    • Meal Per Diem
    • Miscellaneous Expense Allowance, $1000 lump sum
    • Home Return Trips, every 21 days unaccompanied / every 90 days accompanied
    • Domestic Assignment Allowance (DAA), 10% less than 1 year, 15% greater than 1 year

  • Completion bonus

  • First 6 months: 20% of total earnings
  • 6-12 months:  25% of total earnings
  • 12+ months:  30% of total earnings
