Boeing IT&DA has an immediate opening for a Senior Enterprise Architect

to provide leadership across Boeing's digital transformation program.

This position provides a tremendous opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to the Digital Core that will enable transformation of Boeing's key operations involving engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise resource planning. Enterprise architects are responsible for transforming vision into strategy and actionable plans to support fully integrated system deployments built on both customer-of-the-shelf software.

Position Responsibilities::

  • Application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts to ensure architecture solutions align with requirements.

  • Advanced knowledge of IT architecture concepts, standards, tools, techniques and methodologies.

  • Expert ability to model and analyze data from a computing technical and total business viewpoint, then integrate into an overall computing system and application systems architecture.

  • Solving unusually complex technical problems through development of advanced technical ideas.

  • Must have the ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

  • Expert ability to build computing systems from a variety of components to provide a business solution, including the ability to integrate application components and databases across computing platforms.

  • Initiating assignments that result in courses of action that obtain desired results. Ability to identify key tasks and resources needed to achieve objectives.

  • Consistently and proactively make sure strategies are carried out and monitor results to make adjustments a needed.

  • Ensuring that target architectures are integrated across major domains including engineering, manufacturing and enterprise resource planning

  • Develop business, system and technology roadmaps that account for business unit view points across Boeing's major business units.

  • Selects and applies appropriate visualizations (models, diagrams, views, etc.) to analyze and/or communicate concepts and future directions.

  • Establish cross functional partnerships and influence agreements for mutual benefit.

  • Technical background in solution development, solution architecture, analytics, engineering, product management, or related

  • Extensive knowledge of how business and IT organizations operate

  • Strong project leadership skills

  • Excellent communication skills from the individual contributor level to executive levels

  • Ability to influence without authority

                                                                     

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 7 years of experience leading large scale, cross functional project

  • Minimum 7 years of experience planning and executing optimization initiatives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong leadership, partnering, and organizational change skills

  • Ability to build relationships and work across organizational boundaries

  • Delivery of information technology services

  • CAMEO modeling and simulation, UAF methodology

  • Experience with cloud migration and cloud native capabilities

  • DevSecOps software development tools and techniques

  • Experience with technology architecture and/or design

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5-7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:
