Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking Associate Level Electricians to support our business in Springfield and Chantilly, VA.  This organization supports mission critical government programs.

The Associate Electrician will be working with a multi-disciplinary team to quickly and effectively address facilities and electrical needs for a U.S. Government customer at multiple locations throughout Northern Virginia. Candidate can expect to travel up tp 40% of the time throughout the region. These positions can possibly be for 1st or 2nd shift.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain, install and repair 120/208 volt and 277/ 480 volt electrical power distribution systems including electrical main gear, transformers, feeders, panels, branch, circuits, motors, lighting and troubleshooting systems

• Uses general knowledge of building codes, regulations and safety procedures
• With limited supervision, constructs commercial office space by providing overall electrical capabilities
• Responds to trouble calls and resolves a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
• Repairs and maintains power plant and office facilities equipment and can demonstrate advanced skill level in these areas
• Interprets basic schematics and diagrams
• Reviews customer requirements and evaluates product capabilities, under general guidance
• May receive specialized equipment training
• May provide guidance and training to peers and/or customers on the general use of equipment
• Lift and carry up to 35 lbs
• Climb ladders, work from aerial/scissor lifts, walk on grid platforms and work from the roofs of commercial building
• Frequent reaching above shoulder level, climbing, kneeling, bending, and continuous standing

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of our listed locations.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  A final Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph Post-Start is required.

Security Clearance/Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

- Minimum 1 year Electrical experience

- Capable of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 35lbs
- A valid driver’s license

- Capable of working variable shifts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

- Journeyman license (Virginia or Maryland)

- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
