The Boeing Company is currently seeking a MQ-25 Vehicle Management Systems Associate Software Engineer to join the MQ-25 Software Systems group located in Hazelwood, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization Join the MQ-25 Vehicle Management Software engineering team to help provide new capabilities to the Navy. Position includes embedded software requirements development, design, and documentation, coding and testing in support of Low Rate Initial Production for the MQ-25 autonomous unmanned aircraft. POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON PROGRAM AWARD Position Responsibilities: Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met Supports software project management and software supplier management functions Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics Performs software research and trade studies Troubleshoots software issues Works under general supervision
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will have the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule, performing work weekly onsite and remotely. Please note that the hybrid work schedule is subject to program/business needs. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 1+ years of Real-time embedded software development experience Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Desired Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience): Prior Vehicle Management System software experience preferred DO-178, MIL-STD-882E, or similar software safety experience preferred Ada programming
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Travel: < 10% Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
