The Boeing Company is currently seeking to hire a Lead Project Integration Management Specialist who will primarily assist Support & Innovation organization in Seal Beach, CA.

The position requires steady work in a highly dynamic environment that is cross functional/cross business unit coordination and collaboration of all primary responsibilities. This role will also support the FCOs and the CSLT in leading and executing on-fleet priorities, provide viable solutions and ensuring safe and economic operation of the Boeing fleet. PIMs will need to respond to changes to SOW, assess the impact and negotiate proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules. PIMs must lead project execution of complete, complex technical issues within customer support, identify performance metrics, plan, identify, and coordinate required resources over the life cycle of the project, as well as define plans for risk mitigation and opportunity capture.

You must be highly self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others, provide constructive feedback, be forward thinking, possess both technical and project management acumen, and have the desire and capacity to exhibit continuous leadership with the ability to adapt quickly and operate in a changing environment. Must be willing to jump out of personal comfort zone, put to practice an out of the box thinking and wield techniques in order to meet customers’ needs in a timely manner.

This is a critical role, so a having a strong verbal and written communication skills is needed, along with project management and integration experience. This role requires proactive communication both internally and with customers along with inspiring the team by championing forward-thinking and innovative solutions. the spokesperson for Customer Support to oversee and execute these tasks and bring back critical decisions/discussions to key stakeholders.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

 You must be able to state a clear definition and execution of all primary responsibilities and be

  • Own projects with hand-on approach to provide oversight for technical, business, integration, & leadership to team’s projects, representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.

  • Coordinate and integrate Customer Support position on emerging multi-model technical issues and influence timely and correct decisions

  • Define plans, identify, and coordinate resources for risk mitigation & opportunity required over the project lifespan or program using/creating tools to prioritize and maintain SOW visibility.

  • Develop statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements, and Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules to enhance the efficiency of PIM office.

  • Compare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned to identify and report various performance metrics.

  • Manage and coordinate with BGS (asset management and CPM) and other functions on complex and unique post-SRP Solution/Retrofit efforts and parts management (customer incorporation of solution) to ensure fleet incorporation and execution

  • Coordinate with Customer Support Engineering and Support Organizations to uncover opportunities to educate the fleet on best practices in operations after reviewing reliability data.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited course of study in a core Engineering discipline.

  • 3+ years’ experience managing full lifecycle projects and cross-functional teams or projects

  • Experience building relationships with partners at all levels and providing leadership using effective communications to a diverse engineering team.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Project Management Certification (ex. PMP)

  • Experience building project plans, schedules and/or budgets

  • Experience working on commercial aircraft programs, such as the 7 Series Aircraft, or have design or analysis experience on large fixed wing aircraft.

  • Experience working with airline customers and familiar with Customer Support knowledge

  • Experience with certification process on meeting FAA regulations for production, post production and/or development airplane programs.

  • Experience in working outside comfort zone: working outside of core engineering discipline, working outside of engineering, taking special assignments (Factory, Field, CAS, SM, etc)

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
