Boeing IT&DA has an immediate opening for a Senior Enterprise Architect supporting Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The successful candidate will influence direction of Boeing’s Digital Transformation Product Lifecycle Management strategy, enablers and priorities. This position provides a tremendous opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to Boeing’s key engineering operations in close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs and verifies architecture, data and information management system and component details
  • Defines and influences architecture standards and conforms with strategies at an enterprise level across many different organizations
  • Leads collaboration to define integration architecture designs with MOM and ERP domains
  • Defines and Applies architecture patterns and best practices and mentors teammates
  • Establishes design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements
  • Supports the development and modelling of architecture views and models
  • Performs analysis of architecture solutions and alternatives
  • Performs and contributes to trade-off analyses
  • Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments
  • Drafts data and information management products and service standards
  • Assess impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle
  • Mentors teammates in the areas of product lifecycle management and enterprise architecture.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT architecture and development
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with Business Process and/or Services Modeling 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with leading the architecture definition for PLM systems, including requirements management and architecture modeling using tools and methods such as ARIS/Cameo, UML, SysML
  • Experience influencing the enterprise, architecture model, and analyzing data from a computing technical and total business viewpoint
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate into an overall computing system and application systems architecture
    Experience with multiple information technology areas and platforms (e.g., Cloud, UIM, MBSE, SOA, mobile)
  • Demonstrated experience and credibility with large engineering organizations, and PLM software vendors
  • Experience leading implementation of  Dassault and/or Siemens PLM capabilities
  • Experience leading and mentoring enterprise, segment, and solution architects
  • Experience working in a regulated environment including both US government and international regulations.
  • Experience leading Agile and Product based teams
  • Experience with working in a globally distributed team environment

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience Master and typically 3 or more years related work experience.
