The Boeing Company is hiring for an Equipment Maintenance Specialist (Level B) to support the Team in Helena, Montana.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works under general supervision with understanding of the job. 
  • Performs maintenance on factory equipment. 
  • Troubleshoots, analyzes, inspects, disassembles, rebuilds, modifies and tests factory machinery and equipment as necessary using knowledge in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. 
  • Assists with interpreting blueprints and schematics to maintain and repair equipment.
  • Responds to requests for equipment repair. 
  • Identifies and requests component and replacement part inventories.
  • Prioritizes and schedules daily work assignments based on production and customer needs and management priority to maintain production equipment utilization.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be willing to work any shift assigned.
  • 1+ years’ experience reading schematics/drawings used to troubleshoot production machinery, including servo motors, servo drives, VFDs, encoders, linear scales, etc.
  • 1+ years’ experience reading mechanical drawings, and use to troubleshoot machine tools, including ball screws, lead screws, linear guides, box ways, gibs, linear and rotational axis accuracy, etc.
  • 1+ years’ experience reading detailed equipment operating manuals and follow sequential repair instructions.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 1+ years’ experience with mechanical, electronics/electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • 1+ years’ experience with mechanical NC Controls (e.g. Fanuc, Siemens), PLCs (e.g. Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc).

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
