The Boeing Company is currently seeking Senior Electrophysics Engineer (Level 5) to join the F-15 Electronic Warfare team located in St Louis, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

This position will be supporting multiple Domestic and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) Development programs as part of the F-15 Mission Systems organization. The primary responsibilities for this individual will be leading the development and integration of defensive systems on multiple variants of the F-15 Platform and oversee digital and RF hardware redesigns. This position will also be the primary interface to plan, review, and brief these efforts to Customer and Boeing technical and leadership representatives. In addition, the individual will be responsible for managing technical performance of critical suppliers to ensure integration and verification of installed system performance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and validates requirements for various sensor systems and components.

  • Develops architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms.

  • Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.

  • Leads work with customer to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements.

  • Leads project execution to complete the work statement.

  • Identifies and manages changes to statement of work and assesses the impact of those changes, and incorporates changes into statement of work.

  • Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle by providing guidance and support to resolve complex issues.

  • Supports the program office by coordinating development of work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs for appropriate reviews.

  • Assigns responsibility for activities to team members and ensures technical correctness and consistency of products and services.

  • Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Export Control:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Currently possess a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • Experience in the design/development of RF systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience combined in developing electronic systems within communication, radar and electronic warfare

  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time

  • Experience with Electronic Warfare systems and signal processing

  • Ability to obtain program access for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance

  • Experience on a tactical aircraft program

  • Experience on electronic warfare or defensive systems

  • Experience in program protection, system security requirements and design considerations, test, and verification

  • Experience with RF compatibility/interoperability

  • Experience working with internal/external customers and subcontractors

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
