The Boeing Company is seeking a Field Services Representative to join our dynamic team in Naval Air Station, Patuxent (Pax) River, MD.  This Level 4 position will work with operations personnel to support daily systems operations and troubleshoot issues. The ideal candidate must have confidence to know the systems and not just rely on calling for help and will research information to assist customer issues.

Position Responsibilities:

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Resolve maintenance and operational issues.
  • Interpret technical documents and monitor product performance.
  • Perform technical field support of company products.
  • Perform troubleshooting procedures for multiple systems and specialty coverage.
  • Perform daily and periodic system maintenance functions.
  • Standby for system issues and questions from operators and maintainers.
  • Provide on-call support as required. Resolves maintenance and operational issues.
  • Monitor product performance and make recommendations for resolution of potential issues.
  • Analyze technical data and evaluate maintenance procedures.
  • Develop and conducts ad hoc training. 
  • Prepare required company reports.
  • Solicit customer feedback and take action to improve satisfaction with company services.
  • Attend weekly FSR teleconferences.

This position is for 1st shift

Willing and able to obtain an Interim Top Secret Clearance (Pre-Start) and Final Clearance (Post-Start); Current and active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance preferred

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3 or more years working with support tools and test equipment (e.g., logic analyzers, network monitors, multimeters, etc.)
  • 3 or more years of understanding and application of logistic support systems (e.g., shipping and receiving, spares databases, inventory control, etc.)
  • 3 or more years of application of preventative and corrective maintenance principles
  • 5 years or more experience installing and testing electronic or network type equipment aboard military maritime vessels

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related technical degree is preferred
  • Active top secret clearance or higher
  • 3 or more years developing relationships with immediate customers (e.g., operators, maintainers, and users) and understand their needs and expectations
  • 3 or more years of experience with international trade regulations and export compliance policies
  • 3 or more years of experience with receiving and shipping process flows
  • 3 or more years of experience working with or in the US Navy

Typical Education / Experience:

Education / experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
