Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a Senior Product Review Engineer to join the Boeing X-37B team located in Kennedy Space Center, Florida. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operates in close partnership with the engineering, manufacturing and project teams.

  • Support creation & update of schedules and coordinate the execution on flight hardware of manufacturing work plans with multiple disciplines including Test, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, Planning, and Quality.

  • Conduct non-conforming hardware investigations of all vehicle subsystems, utilizing vehicle subsystem engineers and other specialty engineering to determine engineering dispositions that balance cost, schedule, and technical impacts.

  • Present issues and resolution plans to the program Failure Review Board as required.

  • Define non-conformance cause & corrective actions.

  • Plan and coordinate repair and rework activities along with overall vehicle integration and test.

  • Supports Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participates in design reviews

  • Apply lessons-learned to develop and implement serviceability/process improvement initiatives.

  • Perform integration assessments and contribute to cost proposals for new business.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required).  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • 3 or more years experience using computer aided design/engineering (CAD/CAE) tools.

  • Experience with Electrical Harness inspecting, routing, repair, rework, and test.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • A current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)

  • MRB certification preferred

  • Excellent communication skills and experience briefing Boeing and customer management

  • Experience in spacecraft or aircraft shop floor liaison activities in a multi-disciplinary environment

  • Experience using Unigraphics CAD tool.

  • Willingness to work in a spacecraft shop floor environment around work-stand platforms while dressed in clean room garments for extended periods of time.

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.
