Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their top-tier team. COVID-19: As a U.S. government contractor, Boeing will require all new hires and employees located in the United States to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 8, 2021. DUTIES TO INCLUDE: Responsible for API development; create and maintain API documentation for publication Design and code new software to modify existing software to add new features Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments Develop, update, and maintain 508 Compliant User Interfaces Develop services for existing or proposed databases or data repositories Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph At least seven(7) years in software development/engineering including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. The individual must be able to communicate directions and provide guidance to junior programmer/analysts, as required. At least six (6) years experience developing software in an enterprise environment. At least four (4) years of this experience must have been obtained in the last seven (7) years. At least four (4) years developing software for Windows (7 or higher), UNIX or Linux (Red hat) OS and at least two (2) years of this experience must have been obtained within the last four (4) years. EXPERIENCE DESIRED: Experienced with JavaScript, Flex, JSP, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), CSS, SpringMVC or equivalents for UI developers and Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Servlets or equivalents for enterprise Java developers and developing at least one Object Oriented System (OOS). BackboneJS/JQuery (Other JS frameworks) Java Web Applications RESTful Services Mongo (noSQL) Maven Git Experience with Shell Scripting (Linux Bash) Experience designing and conducting software tests; including Unit, Integration, and System tests using Junit Experience with Linux (basic system administration knowledge) Experience responding to user issues Excellent organizational skills to keep track of emails and tickets Good interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact with software development team members Ability to work in a dynamically changing environment Experience with Agile methods, Scrum, and XP Maintaining knowledge of industry trends and standards Experience with JIRA
