Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A)   is seeking a Senior Software Technical Lead to join our contract team.

COVID-19:

As a U.S. government contractor, Boeing will require all new hires and employees located in the United States to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 8, 2021. Location: This position can be based out of Huntington Beach CA, Annapolis Junction MD, or El Segundo CA.



Position Responsibilities:



Establish an agile software development environment on the program.


Partner with researchers and technology experts on technology development progress and future goals to inform software capability needs.


Lead customer engagements for software capabilities enabling technologies under research & development


Lead analysis and performance budget planning and roll-up from individual contributors and subject matter experts.


Coordinate efforts between system and software teams to meet end item deliverable test, verification & validation dates.


Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of software processes, tools and metrics.


Provide high impact, creative and innovative solutions to complex technical problems.


Software development experience in a collaborative, innovative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevOps processes/tools.





Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):



Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical degree.


5+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system.





Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):



Experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification.


Experience in software development using languages such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript.


Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.


Experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc).


Experience with Agile development methodologies.


Active Security Clearance





Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard



This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
