Collins Aerospace is looking for a Machinist I to perform machining, fabrication, welding, and/or tooling to support aircraft original equipment manufacturing operations. This professional will utilize standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to perform assigned  tasks to fill the needs of many of the world's leading aviation customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, assembles and repairs assembly jigs, fixtures, forms, templates and related tooling used in manufacturing aircraft parts and assemblies. 
• Fits and assembles parts to make and repair according to blueprints, sketches, 3D cad models, computer data sets and customer specifications using various tools, machines,
• equipment and electronic data. 
• Designs, develops and build tools to support the philosophy.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.
• Ability to walk, bend, stoop, stand, kneel for 8+ hours per day and lift 50+ pounds repetitively with or without accommodation and meet other physical requirements based on a
• medical screening following post offer.
• Residents of or willingness to relocate to Foley, AL, area.

*No relocation or interview travel reimbursement available.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Blueprint reading skills with a background in GD&T.
• Hands on aviation experience highly desired.
• Experience in aviation repair work or aptitude for mechanical systems.
• Familiar with using hand tools, drill motors, power tools, and measuring equipment desired.
