The Ariba Source-to-Pay Project Manager will be responsible for leading the Ariba implementation for indirect/non-product for the Mechanical Systems Strategic Business Unit.  They will work collaboratively across various Mechanical Systems segments and functions in coordination with the broader Collins and RTX organizations.  This role will specifically focus on Sourcing/Procurement strategy, processes, and execution as it relates to the Mechanical System segments and focus on how Sourcing/Procurement can be modernized, automated and integrated using the Ariba platform as part of the Collins-wide implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Mechanical Systems Strategic Business Unit in all phases of the Ariba implementation to include design, configuration, test, and change management
  • Represent Mechanical Systems as the empowered voice in all Ariba Project decision meetings
  • Build a network across all Mech segments/sites to ensure support throughout the project phases
  • Provide leadership and support to sites when needed to achieve Ariba Project milestones
  • Develop and drive adoption through use of metrics
  • Review and facilitate the training of BU segments on policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and other quality documents that support Ariba implementation
  • Exhibit strong organizational and influencing skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required  
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Collins non-product / indirect sourcing and/or procurement
  • Experience and knowledge using SAP and procurement software solutions (Experience with Ariba a plus)
  • Strong project management and data analysis skills required with the ability to develop and manage plans for execution
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross functional teams within a matrixed organization
  • Strong understanding of gated or passport managed projects, specific knowledge of supplier work transfer preferred
  • The ability to multi-task projects with limited oversight
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills are required along with the ability to establish effective communication and working relationships with all levels and functions
