The Production Control Planner is a Materials Planning and SIOP professional who participates in the supply and demand planning process and is responsible for making changes in systems and processes to solve problems and improve effectiveness of the work cells. This role plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules, assesses changes, and improves processes as necessary. Tracks status of material availability and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are available as needed. Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and request for shipping orders with the ability to monitor data and react accordingly to inputs. Works cross functionally across the organization to ensure success of the production schedule. This role will work under the supervision of the Production Control Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the creation of the production plan or build sequence based on customer requirements and/or business direction.

• Release production orders, managing raw/make/buy material availability.

• Provides continuous updates to the production team for product line status.

• Monitor production schedules and advance materials through assembly and test operations.

• Understand and interpret ERP system requirements and accurately integrate complex production schedules.

• Coordinates kitting process with 3PL and consolidation areas, as necessary.

• Closure of Quality Notifications (QN) in a timely manner.

• Reduce aged work orders over 100 days to zero as measured at the end of the month

• Achieve on-time release goal of 90% or greater.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience.

• OR In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.

• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
