The GTF Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Operations team is seeking a Process & Methods Engineer to support the PW1000G global network’s engine overhaul shops (U.S., Germany, Japan, Poland, Singapore).  In addition to the overhaul shops’ engineering and operations community, the position will work closely with the core Systems Engineering community.  Responsibilities will focus on improving lessons learned/best practices throughout the MRO network, DAT training / onboarding, workstop avoidance/resolution troubleshooting, and productivity initiatives.  


Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizing network learning events into lessons learned/best practices that can be shared with a variety of stakeholders through the “All Shops” process, “Ops Tech” process and OEM/MRO process as appropriate
  • Capturing the voice of DATs, coordinate collection of data from Ops, and coordinating closure of actions with Engineering
  • Track FPY data for AMO, review trends and coordinate actions to improve yield
  • Supporting new DAT heavy maintenance training / special procedures training & administration
  • Supporting existing DATs with training to onboard major configuration changes
  • Development and validation of optimized disassembly/assembly procedures and tooling to improve TAT, reduce labor hours/cost, and improve quality
  • Support MRO network data analysis and continuous improvement project prioritization
  • Participation in the compliance and sustainment efforts of assembly special procedures
  • Participation in workstop/escalation process to assist network operations with troubleshooting items in the assy/disassy/test process
  • Support AMO engine test issue resolution

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering or related field required
  • 6+ years experience in an MRO/OEM/Development facility working in a “hands on” Operations or Engineering capacity
  • Ability to travel is required domestically and internationally up to 20%.  Must have or be willing to obtain a valid US Passport
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Engineering or MBA a plus
  • Aftermarket or OEM Engine test experience preferred
