Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for Traffic Coordinator.  This position is under moderate supervision. You would assist with implementation of warehouse safety and security programs and activities, respond to moderately complex customer or shipper questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services, and assist in orienting, training, and assigning work of business support employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works under moderate supervision to provide assistance with managing inventory and movement of materials.
  • Prepares and examines necessary shipping documentation.
  • Monitors arriving materials to ensure that they match purchase orders, submitting discrepancy reports as necessary.
  • Monitors movement of materials, products or machinery in manufacturing area.
  • Assists with implementation of warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
  • Reads production and delivery schedules, and confers with supervisors, to coordinate sorting and transfer procedures, arrangement of packages on pallets and destinations of loaded pallets.
  • Responds to moderately complex customer or shipper questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.
  • Assists with analysis of material usage, including scrap rate and repair history, minimum stock and pool quantity calculation accordingly to fulfill production requirements.
  • Provides logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
  • Reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment.
  • Plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving, or the warehouse, to production.
  • Manages material inventory, supplier integration strategies (VMI/3PL/supermarkets) and import/export controls.
  • Partners with Industrial Engineering on packaging strategies

Basic Qualifications:

  • AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • OR In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required
  • OR A Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and less than 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook) is preferred.
