Job Description
Raytheon Technologies Enterprise Services has an opening for a Facilities Project Manager within our Enterprise Real Estate Services Organization. The Facilities Engineering and Project Management team in the West Region provides strategic planning, facilities engineering and project management services across 8.6 MSF of Raytheon Technologies office, manufacturing, lab and warehouse space located in 22 states.
This position will be based in Tucson, AZ reporting to a Lead Project Manager within the local Facilities Engineering and Project Management team. The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and budgets. This includes acquiring resources and monitoring the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also refine the project’s objectives and oversee cost, schedule and quality control through project closure.
The successful candidate will be adept at working in a team environment and communicating with a broad base of individuals including internal Raytheon Technologies stakeholders and facility managers, architects, engineers from all disciplines, general contractors and subcontractors to collect requirements, estimate budgets, develop project execution plans, schedule and manage project execution including design, construction execution and closeout. Projects will vary in type to include new building construction, civil infrastructure, office, laboratory and manufacturing space renovations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
  • Coordinate with a project team that includes the team lead, an architect, engineers, a drafter, and a construction superintendent.
  • Consult with project team on critical issues involving engineering disciplines.
  • Relay to team any decisions made regarding project design and construction.
  • Manage the administrative elements of a project including, cost and schedule.
  • Define up front the project scope and deliverables in collaboration with the customer, management and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Validate estimates of the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget baselines and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks and opportunities, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Fully document and close-out project records, schedules and financials in a timely manner.
  • Conduct after project reviews and provide recommendations to improve project delivery processes, tools and/or resources.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management, scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of construction and managing/overseeing multiple projects
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Working knowledge of Building Codes and local amendments as well as experience in reading construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
  • Very organized with a systematic task approach to achieve accuracy and efficiency. Attention to detail with emphasis placed on quality.
  • Analytical with the ability to examine issues from multiple viewpoints. Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Project Management Certification (such as PMP, CAPM, Raytheon Tier Training or PgMP).
  • Strong familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experience and training in OSHA Construction Industry regulations and practices
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & TRAINING
  • This position typically requires a BS/BA degree in Construction Management or Engineering or related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience in Building Construction, Design and Project Management.
US Citizenship:
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
