Propulsion Systems is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager II (PM) to manage its USG Programs. The Program Manager II has direct accountability for the success of product line program(s) as measured in all terms and requirements of the applicable contract, by profitability/cost expectations set by PMO leadership and by the measure of customer satisfaction. The Program Manager II manages and coordinates the activities of all assigned Customer Service Representatives (CSRs).
 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leadership responsibility through all phases of the program management process, specifically ensuring the team achieves all deliverables to the customers on time

  • Has overall responsibility for program leadership, execution, and customer contact for assigned programs

  • Successfully manage program requirements within schedule and budget

  • Collaborate with a variety of functional areas inside and outside the organization to deliver program results responsive to internal and external customer requirements

  • Strong understanding of government contracts and requirements; FAR/DFAR knowledge is highly desirable

  • Interprets, executes and establishes operating policies and processes

  • Responsible for meeting the program objectives such as technical performance, non-recurring cost, recurring cost targets, Profit and Loss (P&L), inventory, risk management, and manage program compliance

  • Conduct internal and external program reviews

  • Ensure customer satisfaction metrics are met

  • Responsible for proposals and negotiations for assigned programs

  • Provide support for internal and external audits

  • Drives the Mission and Operating Principles by driving the Vision, Values, Mission, and Goals

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, laws, rules and regulations.  Ensures employee safety through the continued education and discussion of the Cardinal Rules for EH&S and Quality

  • Responsible for explaining company policies, procedures, and regulations to subordinate groups. Applies the Corporate Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and implements effective affirmative actions to assist the company in the attainment of goals and objectives

  • Perform other related duties as requirements develop. Ensure compliance with Collins Aerospace EHS and Ethical Policies and with Federal, State and local laws

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • This position is located in Fairfield, CA. It is expected to sit onsite for this role.

  • Must have demonstrated the ability to strategically organize and complete projects, tasks and business objectives

  • Ability to motivate

  • Capable of driving issues through to completion

  • Experience of leading change & process improvements

  • Experienced in leading cross-functional teams through project closure
