The Senior Manager, Contracts is a highly visible role which provides advice and expertise on complex contractual matters.  Part of the Office of the General Counsel, the Senior Manager manages a team of Contracts professionals who ensure compliance, accuracy and completeness of customer requirements. The Senior Manager is a primary contact for our customers who identifies and mitigates risk and acts as an agent for the company.

This is a dynamic, remote-working Senior Manager supporting a significant value stream within the Power & Controls strategic business unit of Collins Aerospace with opportunities for exposure to senior levels of management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advise and/or represent in contract negotiation and administration matters

  • Participate in and/or conduct front-end assessments of proposals

  • Negotiate terms and conditions, execute contracts of moderate complexity and assist direct reports to execute their tasks

  • Summarize contractual issues, research compliance matters, interpret regulations, identify risks and formulate recommendations

  • Collaborate and engage in strategy formation for business arrangement development and execution

  • Develop formal correspondence to address contractual matters and dispute resolution

  • Support audit or customer requests

  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to develop and implement departmental policy and goals

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising a team

  • Experience with contract & financial structures, pricing strategies, policy & procedure and compliance principles

  • Technical Assistance Agreement Experience

  • SAP Experience
