The candidate for this role will be the lead contracts focal for a critical value stream in our Hoist & Winch business unit. Oversees completion of contracts, trains employees, and oversees the analysis of contract data. Develops processes and assists in policy design in support of the Contracts department. Influences senior management and others in the organization on complex contractual issues.

Although the Hoist & Winch production site is located in Brea, CA,  the right candidate can support remotely and be located outside of this location/state.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Leads a team of experienced professionals in preparing bids, progress reports, and other reports.
• Implements service excellence strategies to improve the relationship between legal department and other departments.
• Helps leadership train employees to ensure understanding of and adherence to contract law related to the business.
• Advises management of contractual rights and obligations to protect the organization’s legal and business interests.
• Compiles and analyzes data, and maintains historical information to ensure ease of accessibility and retrieval of data and documents.
• Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities for contracts to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
• Advises and represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters.
• Creates proposals, negotiates and executes contracts.
• Provides legal advice on warranty and contract administration.
• Prepares legal documentation for legal and contract negotiations and relationships.
• Prepares legal applications for warranty and new contracts, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience OR

Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required

• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
