This position is for a senior electrical engineering professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise. Directs activities in the discipline and represents the organization at external events. Evaluates operating systems, provides technical training, designs electronic components, and develops implementation schedules.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met.
  • Troubleshoots electrical devices problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Leads technical preparations for new product development and implementation to ensure new products meet the required specifications.
  • Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Completes drawing designs as required to facilitate the engineering process.
  • Confers with engineers, customers, vendors and other stakeholders on existing and potential engineering projects or products.
  • Analyzes and evaluates new or improved electronic components.
  • Mentors and advises other members of the engineering team.
  • Participates in design and requirements reviews as the hardware subject matter expert.
  • Leads hardware bid efforts for new contracts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analog and/or digital experience
  • EMC, single integrity, or power integrity experience
  • Power electronic, motor control experience
  • Spice simulation experience
  • Hyperlink experience
  • PCB manufacturing and layout experience
  • DO-178 / DO-254 / DO-160 experience
