Job Description:

The Electrical Products Team (EPT) Surface Based Electrical Design and Support Department (SBEDS) is responsible to support the production and development of electrical subsystems used in our Land and Naval based programs. Job responsibilities of the RF Guidance Section Production Engineer include troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment, performing system and circuit level analysis, supporting failure investigations, maintaining and creating documentation, interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers, and mentoring junior engineering staff.

This position can be a Senior RF Guidance Section Production Engineer- P3 or a Principal RF Guidance Section Production Engineer- P4, based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position

Required Skills:
  • B.S. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics. (STEM degree)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant design experience, hands-on radar systems design, system realization, and testing of HF and microwave radar systems
  • Current or prior experience with airborne radar guidance section production and/or development
  • Strong familiarity of RF component design, analysis, fabrication, and troubleshooting
  • Strong familiarity with RF laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
  • U.S Citizenship is required

The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Desired Skills:
  • MS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Equivalent
  • System integration experiences: radar hardware integration in lab and at site and developing test procedures
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of analog RF components, ADC and DAC performances
  • Familiarity with industry standard RF circuit design software and PCB layout.
  • Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle
  • Experience in creation and/or improvement of engineering development processes
  • Excellent track record for working effectively and collaboratively in a diverse team environment
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a self-starter who is capable of working independently
  • The ability to acquire a Special Access Programs Clearance
