Directly supervises Technical / Business Support and/or Production / Maintenance employees in Materials Planning and SIOP.

Plans and sets day-to-day operational objectives, including storing and shipping of products, planning activities, responding to inquiries, and checking quality of work. Prepares inventory control reports and manuals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises team of support employees in day-to-day planning activities.
  • Participates in establishing plans and maintaining data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items and other parts as required.
  • Develops the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.
  • Participates in establishing continuous management of the master demand schedule, including adherence to required validations using the best information available.
  • Prepares the transportation and delivery of inter/intra-plant parts and outbound finished products.
  • Participates in tracking inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, and may expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.
  • Directly supervises tracking and shipping process.
  • Participates in developing plans to minimize risks for short-term shortages and ensures successful customer delivery
  • Creates and executes plan for every part and maintain master data for purchased parts, sub-assemblies, end items and other parts as required.
  • Facilitates the capacity management process, including identification and escalation of long-term capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices OR
  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a US Person.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supervising a team
  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
