Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) is seeking a goal – oriented, detail-focused project engineer to work in the F119 Military Engines FAN/HPC Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) as a Project Engineer. The selected candidate will be the CIPT focal person responsible for planning, managing, and executing tasks supporting the F119 CIPT HPC and FAN hardware. This role will include direct interfacing opportunities with engineering executive staff, program management, suppliers, and USAF customers. You will be able to lead a multi-disciplined and diverse team of individuals to meet requirements and achieve goals. You will be technically proficient, communicate effectively and be customer focused to meet the bold demands of this military engine program. This position requires proven leadership, excellent communication skills, and project management skills.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Accountable to the CIPT for part level ownership, including communication, risk management and execution to program requirements.

• Planning and managing task budgets and schedules in accordance with program negotiated deliverables

•Coordinate and Lead IPT members; Suppliers; Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) departments; Engine Design & System Integration (EDSI) team; in meeting technical milestones and hardware delivery requirements.

•    Prepare and present task status and technical content to the CIPTL team, Cold Section Engineering Management staff, and USAF customer.

•    Responsible in prepare, managing, and presenting monthly EV status of all tasks that require to support the EVMS requirements

• Preform risk assessments and develop, manage, and execute risk mitigation plans

• Facilitate the Class 1 and 2 engineering change process

• Lead field investigation teams to determine root cause and corrective action for any field incident reported by USAF customer

• Coordinate evaluation and disposition of Aftermarket Non-conformances (ANs), Quality Non-conformances (QNs), Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and supplier requests for information (SRIs).

Experience/Qualification:

•  2-5 years of Engineering Experience with strong leadership, communication, and organization skills.

• Experience with EMVS techniques and principles

• Demonstrated ability to independently make decisions.

• Demonstrate ability to organize and execute several components of complex tasks

• Demonstrated ability to define and plan technical path for medium scale tasks.

• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

• MS Project and/or Smartsheet experience preferred

Education

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. MS in engineering or MBA preferred

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

Travel requirement: 10-15% travel

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs

or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work. Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
