Job Summary:
The Radars and Sensors Center within the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) Directorate is searching for a Section Leader to join our team. The location could be Woburn, Tewksbury or Marlborough Massachusetts. As a Section Leader, you will be expected to actively participate in department goals and initiatives, support department hiring, support program staffing, provide employee feedback and mentoring, and be actively involved in daily program operations. This position provides an opportunity to grow your skillset by contributing to the development of our workforce and creating and fostering an inclusive environment.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Lead a diverse team of engineers
  • Establish meaningful and measurable goals and communicate effectively with the team
  • Oversee the direct line management activities for the section including communication, performance management, career development, and talent acquisition
  • Collaborate and communicate with other sections and teams
  • Support department and directorate level initiatives
  • Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Oversight of personnel issue resolution
  • Timecard approvals
  • Adhere to and ensure alignment to Raytheon Technologies Values and Behaviors
  • Work as a technical lead or individual contributor; Section Leader duties account for approximately 10% of the employee’s time.
Qualification You Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Eight (8) years of prior experience in Systems Engineering and/or System Integration, Verification and Validation
  • Knowledge of the Performance Development process
  • Experience working in a matrix environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Value:
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar budget tracking system
  • Experience with Raytheon’s Proposal Capture Process (development of Basis of Estimates, etc)
  • Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
  • Can effectively manage projects and a diverse team
  • Experience in implementing business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies
  • Applicable Master’s Degree

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
