Collins Aerospace Central Materials group is looking for a Project Implementation Lead to support the development of project plans, implementation schedules and to play a critical role in change management for Materials focused projects. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, facilitating project tasks with various functional organizations, process analysis, requirements gathering, project forecasting, tracking, identifying, and/or recommending resolutions, escalating problems, and ensuring adoption of change through effective change management. You will also be an individual contributor able to work from any Collins Aerostructures location within North America with minimal direct supervision. In addition, you will interface between the Central Materials group and the Site or Value Stream in a highly matrixed environment.

Position is currently working remotely. Open to onsite hybrid capacity for any of our other ASG locations (Chula Vista & Riverside CA, San Marcos TX & Foley AL)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Contribute to continuous improvement opportunities and projects, third-party solutions, digital applications, and infrastructure optimization solutions for ASG Materials organization across sites and value streams.
  • Plan and roll out standardized solutions across sites and value streams using lean principles and methodologies.
  • Identify and escalate risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact to business performance and ensure commitments to the customer are met.
  • Communicate and coordinate with cross functional teams and internal and external stakeholders to ensure change adoption.
  • Conduct system and process analysis, data analysis, and business system requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Coordinate and gather data and information related to strategic projects.
  • Lead effort to setup and establish standard data collection tools to capture key site and operations information.
  • Create analytical processes, tools and models that will provide predictive analysis to facilitate problem resolution & proactive improvements.
  • Drive the development of advanced visualization tools (i.e. Tableau) to share data with the organization to provide visibility into the effectiveness of business processes, KPIs, and to drive real-time actions.
  • Conduct analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements to products in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Train and develop other team members in analytical tools.
  • Develop a deep understanding of key business drivers and identify financial and operational improvements for the business.
  • Support training and communication as part of change management.
  • Evaluate the change impact and organizational readiness to limit potential risk and provide actionable guidelines to reduce impact.
  • Manage change portfolio to allow organization at the user, process, and technology level to prepare for and successfully adopt change.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
  • Project Management experience working in cross functional teams
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel-Pivot Tables, create PowerPoint presentations)
  • Experience manipulating large data sets and summarizing key points
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and deadlines
  • Able to communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership
  • Able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally when circumstances permit.

  • Continuous Improvement experience in the areas of Lean, Six Sigma, ACE or equivalent
  • MS Visio & Project experience
  • Change management experience
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Manufacturing experience
  • PM certification
  • SAP / ERP system experience
