This material specialist position will coordinate with the development engineering, procurement, materials and warehousing organizations to ensure materials flow per approved metrics and get delivered to warehouses in order for validation MRP to kit and pull to assembly. The position could be in Middletown, East Hartford or at times both. Material specialists may be expected to lead teams, perform RRCA and DIVE”s as well as mentor newer PMC Analysts. They may also be asked to prioritize work and assist other analysts during high demand periods. Typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Verify accuracy & completeness of PMPM memo & supplements, URs Release material for development production orders Release material for vendor required material (Pratt supplied) purchase orders Work with materials to set-up fixed storage bins for raw material and finished material that will be delivered to warehouses. Ensure proper receipt & storage of hardware through shipping/receiving well, verify hardware receipt and quantity. Lead and support war room initiatives and daily validation calls for hardware status Resolve TROUBLE tickets in conjunction with Buyers Manage and keep up to date Industrial trackers and SAP ZDSR shortages. Expedite critical items when requested by procurement, the IPT or management. Attend IPT / CIPT / Industrial meetings as required to support your teams / customers Continually communicate requirements and status to your IPT Teams and or project engineers. Manage multiple tasks / assignments as required. Share lessons learned with co-workers and other SAP users. Assist with shipping and logistics as requested. Current BAER’s are needed Education & Experience: Bachelors’ Degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience Graduate Degree is a plus Must be able to work effectively across organizations such as: - Engineering,
- Procurement,
- Module Centers,
- Finance,
- Internal / External suppliers
Must be able to work and learn from others on a daily basis. Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
