The Landing Gear Military Estimating group has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst with a focus on Military Cost Estimating who will be responsible for understanding product configuration, generating recurring and non-recurring cost estimates in support of new business proposals, supplier negotiations, customer change-order pricing and should-cost BOM development. The candidate will actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities and assist in creation of new estimating tools.

Location: Preferred candidate in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX area OR can be located remotely anywhere in US.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs analysis, research, cost estimation, and forecasts to support business plans
  • Analyzes and interprets financial reports to develop observations and initial recommendations
  • Prepares cost estimation activities
  • Performs analysis on budgets, forecasts, inventory, and / or sales margins
  • Prepares spreadsheets, charts, and reports for analysis
  • Audits financial practices to review accuracy and compliance with regulations, laws and standards
  • Provides ad hoc analysis and support for projects
  • Develop design and implement new cost reports
  • Present cost data information to multiple levels of leadership.

    • Supply Chain Estimates/Quotes
      • Material Cost Estimates
      • Quoting
    • TINA Cost Proposal Audit (Subcontract Audit Financial Analysis - SAFA) Process
  • Cost Rollup, Review and Submission

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean, Six Sigma or ACE experience
  • Previous experience in cost estimation.
  • Understanding of labor & overhead rates, standard-to-actual ratios, & material factors.
  • Familiar with aerospace manufacturing product flow, work instructions and tool families
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system
  • Working knowledge of statistical regression analysis
  • Knowledge of Excel, specifically macros
  • Familiar with aerospace manufacturing product flow
  • Experience in manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge in part production cycle times, material utilization and Bill of Materials (BOM).
