Description
Quality Assurance Editor
With Instructional Design experience is responsible for the quality assurance reviews and editing of learning and training materials and courseware produced for a wide range of clients and industries. Additionally, this position may be asked to support instructional design tasks including development of e-learning and instructor led training.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Proofread text, figures, and tables for consistency, correctness, ease of use, and style guide compliance
  • Peer review other writers’ work
  • Publish one text source in multiple formats and check outputs for completeness and accuracy
  • Gather information from team meetings, product specifications, and interviews with subject matter experts
  • Gather and address feedback from multiple sources
Required Skills:
  • Minimum two years' experience professionally proofreading and editing documents, training materials and courseware
  • Minimum two years' experience designing and developing courseware in a professional environment
  • Excellent editing and writing skills with an eye for detail and recognition of inconsistencies
  • Knowledge and demonstrated mastery of US English, including the meaning and spelling of words, the rules of composition, grammar, and usage
  • Knowledge of commonly used style guides and dictionaries; knowledge of application of style to content
  • Ability to maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all applicable style, writing standards, and terminology for multiple projects
  • Experience collecting error data for quality reporting and continuous improvement purposes
  • Experience working multiple projects simultaneously while meeting schedule, cost, and quality controls
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals, both in-person and virtually, across multiple functions to ensure project requirements are met
  • Ability to work independently and rapidly to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency using MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in using the latest development tools, such Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts practices and procedures within Instructional Systems Design
  • Interface effectively with Designers, Project Managers, Project Leads, Subject Matter Experts, as well as members of functional teams such as Graphic Artists and test lab personnel
  • Gather and address feedback from multiple sources
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Instructional Design, or a related field
  • Eight years’ professional experience with a high school diploma may be considered in lieu of degree
