recruiting process.

Supervise the Industrial Services staff which includes the operation and maintenance of a large-scale NPDES permitted industrial wastewater treatment system, RCRA Part B permitted transfer, storage, and disposal facility.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and direct hourly bargaining unit staff daily to ensure customer service is maintained.
  • Ensure records and prepared reports regarding the operation of the plant and quality of the effluent are maintained; suggest methods of improving plant efficiency.
  • Develops and assists in the implementation of procedures for the reporting, treatment, handling, storage, sampling, inspection, and transportation of hazardous wastes and wastewaters.
  • Supports the Industrial Services training programs through technical guidance, course development, and/or delivery.
  • Effectively eliminates conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
  • Utilize the CORE Operating System and its tools to continuously improve the operation.
  • Candidate must be a proven self-starter who is results driven, takes ownership of tasks, and is committed to exceed customer expectations.
  • Candidate must be able to supervise multiple tasks. The candidate must have the ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities and possess strong analytical skills to anticipate and resolve problems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science preferred but not required, or other relevant field required or minimum of 2-5 years supervising WWT and TSDF Operations.
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in a full time Industrial Services role including wastewater treatment and transfer, storage, and disposal facilities.
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts
  • Proven ability to supervise and communicate effectively., and willingness to work in all aspects of wastewater, hazardous waste. Proven experience in operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant including pumps, neutralization, hexavalent chromium reduction, microfiltration, ultra-filtration, clarification, multi-media filtration, carbon filtration, ion exchange, reverse osmosis, and groundwater remediation system operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency at leading a team in a fast paced department.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software and Microsoft Project.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding complex facility P&ID’s.
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools, ACE/CORE, and lean principles.
  • Ability to multi-task and work to aggressive schedules and cost reduction targets.
